Robert Morris Partners With RealRecruit

Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University Department of Athletics announced Tuesday a partnership with RealRecruit, the leading culture risk-management solution for collegiate athletic departments. The partnership is a reflection of the Colonials’ commitment to program excellence and to strengthening communication between students and staff.

“From the first moment that RealRecruit’s founder, David Chadwick, laid out his vision to me over five years ago, I knew that he was addressing a void within college athletics,” said RMU Vice President & Director of Athletics Chris King. “At my previous institution, we were one of the first four athletic departments to partner with RealRecruit, which included three Power 5 institutions. Within my first month at RMU, I met with our faculty athletics representative, human resources and legal counsel to discuss the importance of adding RealRecruit to the department’s student-athlete experience and risk-management processes.”

King detailed to RMU leaders how RealRecruit contributed to measurable successes at his previous institution.

“Once the team heard about the unparalleled levels of new insights it provided into the student-athlete experience, as well as the peace of mind that it gave my former administration, implementing RealRecruit at RMU became a no-brainer,” said King.

RMU leaders immediately recognized how the platform could provide the school with the actionable data that it needed to make the most informed and best decisions—and advance its student-athlete experience forward.

RealRecruit gathers feedback from student-athletes through surveys and real-time reporting tools and serves an integrated hub for administrators and coaches to document and track their responses in one easy and accessible location.

Chris King was at the ground floor of RealRecruit’s inception and wanted to help us address this critical need in college athletics,” said RealRecruit Founder and CEO David Chadwick. “His passion and enthusiasm for enhancing the experiences of his student-athletes is inspiring, and we are thrilled to help him and his team achieve this shared goal at Robert Morris.”

From its fertile beginning as a men’s basketball junior college powerhouse to one of the most diverse athletic programs in the Pittsburgh tri-state area, RMU offers 16 intercollegiate athletic programs, including the only men’s and women’s NCAA Division I hockey teams and men’s lacrosse team in the region. Over the last 44 years, the Colonials have claimed 50 conference regular-season championships and 50 league tournament titles.
