Maxient and RealResponse Announce New Integration

“It is imperative that college students have easy access to the right reporting mechanisms if confronted with hazing, harassment, academic integrity issues, or other forms of misconduct,” states Maxient Co-Founder Aaron Hark. “Equally important is ensuring that all offices across campus are managing these cases in a central electronic location, so that nothing falls through the cracks and institutional awareness is increased rather than siloed.”

That’s why Maxient and RealResponse are excited to announce a new integration. Together, the two companies aim to make reporting easier by seamlessly linking RealResponse’s two-way, anonymous intake technology with Maxient’s case management system, creating more efficiency for end users.

This new integration will provide several protected methods for students, staff, and employees to share sensitive information confidently and securely. Once a report is received through RealResponse, administrators will be able to communicate with the anonymous reporter and capture additional details crucial for building out a report and transferring the investigation into Maxient. Combining the power of these two tested and trusted systems will simplify workflows because:

  • Students will now have a variety of familiar communication options (text messaging, WhatsApp, email) to use for sharing sensitive information, increasing engagement and simplifying outreach at critical times.
  • The anonymous, two-way communication feature makes information gathering for investigations into hazing, Title IX, and other sensitive areas easier. The anonymous feature helps reduce barriers or concerns for sharing difficult information.
  • Administrators can follow through on details they need from individuals who remain anonymous (a reporting party may choose to reveal their identity during the process).
  • Engaging with students on concerning topics beyond the initial report is much more effective, leading to higher quality reports that are more actionable.

“With the integration of our two technologies, we are able to offer campus departments and organizations – Student Affairs, Student Conduct, Title IX, Athletics, Fraternity and Sorority Life, among others – an end-to-end information gathering and case management system,” comments David Chadwick, Founder and CEO of RealResponse. “By integrating RealResponse and Maxient, we are helping campus leaders simplify their processes and workflows, which in turn, creates efficiencies and saves time in what can be an onerous misconduct reporting lifecycle.”

By “connecting the dots” for gathering information and developing reports, Maxient and RealResponse are offering their clients a more holistic and seamless process for case management. It may be time to rethink and revise reporting processes.
